The strategy for authoritarianism throughout the ages is to divide and conquer. Mass deception is always created by authoritarianism by dividing issues between two evils.
Crime is a means or excuse for regimentation. Law and order is the pretense. Regimentation of honest working people is the result.
Politicians and bureaucrats, who consider themselves "authorities," use crime as an excuse for surveillance, asset forfeiture and laws to target innocent and honest people. In other words the system gains more and more control over the middle class producers of wealth under the guise of fighting crime.
If the government has the capacity to stop crime and doesn't do it, this makes government the creator and benefactor of crime. Think about it. If the government didn't create crime, what excuse would they have to run a police state?
In a modern police state, physical threat is replaced with propaganda, subtle coercion and phantom fears all under the pretense of legality. Authoritarianism has changed from jack-booted police and firing squads to the false security of feigned benevolence.
Further, we tend to accept government crime because it has made itself politically legal and politically palatable. In today's world, the bigger the crime, the more "legal" it gets.
People in power are long-term planners. They absolutely understand human nature and how to channel it to the evolvement and refinement of the authoritarian state. Authoritarianism is based on long-term planning. Authoritarianism is a philosophy of collectivism. Do not allow the Left to fool you into thinking "Trump" (their notion of who they want you to think Trump is) is an authoritarian. It is a proven strategy of propagandists to accuse the other side of being what you are.
Authoritarianism is a philosophy of collectivism. Some call it democracy. Some call it communism. Some call it fascism. Some call it National Socialism. But whatever you call it, it is all collectivism or authoritarianism.
Pulling the Wool
To create a front of legality and legitimacy for its authoritarian rule, the government system must have significant allies. Government panders to minorities with extravagant subsidies and racism. Minorities respond because they are conditioned to do so. Subsidies and racism are subtle forms of economic warfare between the middle class and minorities. All is a masquerade for the benefit of the "authorities." Those supposedly in charge.
Big crime is a commercial and political enterprise. It has the sanction of law and religion. The controlled media forces acceptance of legal crime. Inquiry into big crime is not allowed in America. No crime is exposed that contributes to the power of the state. Only those crimes that compete with the power of the state are exposed and destroyed.
Big crime is so big that the people do not have the mental capacity to think of it as crime. The law and legal sanction justifies crime when it contributes to the power of the state and "the system." Change agents invent the concept we think of as crimes to disguise authoritarianism by making it seem palatable.
For example, authoritarianism or criminal government can never feel secure from fear as long as millions of people own guns. Likewise, when the people have no arms, they have no security and no hope of security. This is why they want to make it seem like it is and should be a crime simply to own a gun, characterize gun owners as criminals, and are trying to make it illegal to own a gun in every way, including attempting to erode the protections of the Constitution.
Authoritarianism is Always a Danger to Personal Freedom
The worshippers of authoritarianism love the politics of envy, and are the epitome of greed, selfishness, laziness and physical dependence on authoritarianism. They are vipers who eat their young. A police state, where crime is what you do, and not what they do, is their ultimate dream.
How can we make intelligent choices in our private lives if we are powered by deception? We can live peaceably within the system with a minimum of exploitation if we can somehow trigger our conscious minds to inquire into the semantics of conventional wisdom. Most are too far gone, but you're not.
The crowd wants prepackaged truth and "rights" derived from government authority instead of human freedom and using their own consciousness for making decisions and determining their own actions. The masses follow authority to their eternal deception and enslavement.
Any government that can impose authoritarianism on its citizens will rule almost without dissent. Your friends and neighbors see you as contrary to the consensus. Consensus represents authority. Nobody wants to take a stand against authority. Authority is a security blanket to most people.
Only the very few avid hyperindividualists and creative thinkers and readers will escape the mental net. Hopefully you, dear reader, fit here.
