Hello there!

This is Jimmy, your host and guide to the wondrous interweb! I am a working stiff -- a network engineer by trade. I've been a technocrat for a long time and worked for companies like Nvidia, Boeing, Chrysler Aerospace, Cisco, and well, you get the picture. Pretty boring stuff to most people. These days I work as a contractor with my duties lasting anywhere from six months to two years or more.

I share the web space with Thomas Stone, an old friend and author extraordinaire. For variety, we sometimes bring other blog authors aboard. So what's with the pic of Set? Set was my callsign within my team until I retired. As in, Ready, Set, Go. Simple enough. TommyBoy is fond of the Egyptian motif.
